Pragmatism

William James was born on 11th January, 1842 in New York City to a prominent wealthy family. His perhaps more famous was the famed novelist Henry James. William was a philosopher and psychologist who was also trained as a physician. He has been called the Father of American Psychology and is considered one of the founders of functional psychology.
